Summary:
The Porter is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and overall appearance of buildings and facilities.
Responsibilities:
Cleanliness of entire facility
Emptying and cleaning garbage bins
Cleaning kitchen, bathrooms, equipment, walls, and stairs
Inventory management of cleaning supplies
Works with all departments to assure safe clean working environment
Follows HACCP, GMP, requirements are met or exceeded
Works efficiently in a timely manner
Works with safety in mind at all times
Assist in other departments as needed
Qualification Skills:
The ability to lift 20-50 pounds regularly
The ability to respond quickly to sounds
The ability to move safely over uneven terrain or in confined spaces
The ability to work for short period of time in cooler and freezer
Lifting, carrying, walking, standing kneeling, bending, reaching, pushing, and pulling for long periods
Able to communicate effectively
1-year related experience
Able to follow detailed cleaning procedures and implement or improve on existing ones
Work with cleaning chemicals daily
Ability to operate sanitation equipment (mop, broom and or vacuum)
Requirements:
1-3 years in related position, experience in sanitation required
Required to complete SQF paperwork for assigned duties
Work independently.
Ability to follow safety protocols
Ability to work in the cold/ freezer
