Warehouse Receiver

Department: Piece Pickers
Location: Jessup, MD

Description: The objective of this position is to exceed the customer’s expectation of service by assuring the safe transportation and delivery of food to customer locations, following company policies and procedures. Assuring shipment of temperature controlled and undamaged product, proper count of goods at customer locations, assuring inventory levels are FIFO in the customer locations.

Hourly rate: $20.00

Shift: 6AM start

Receiver Position duties:

  • Handle the unloading, breakdown, tagging, and closing of all daytime POs received. This includes using the Zebra scanner to receive the order and using WMS and ERP to process the PO properly.

  • Throughout the day, maintain the cleanliness of the dry dock area including but not limited to: regular sweeping of general area, and daily loading of the spare pallet trailer.

  • Assist in the clearing of damaged product areas throughout warehouse, including repairing, returning, or disposing of cases in those areas. Ensure that any product disposed of is removed from the inventory system.

  • Handle other miscellaneous loading and transfer duties, including but not limited to reloading of FA outbound trucks and trailers, loading of reship routes, and unloading Patuxent transfers.

  • Run a daily printout of incoming loads (Print receiving documents and labels) and the schedule for the day.

  • Submit at end of the day all the day’s receiving paperwork and ensure that all paperwork is accurately recorded. This includes Receiving Records and Documents.

  • Perform Audits of selector picked outbound pallets, at management’s discretion.

  • Assist with completing customer pickups, AKA “Cash and Carry”.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Receiving Operations:
    • Unload, break-down, tag, and close all daytime Purchase Orders (POs).
    • Utilize Zebra scanner system to complete receiving and process POs accurately using WMS and ERP systems.
    • Run a daily print-out of incoming loads, including receiving documents and labels.
    • Submit all receiving paperwork at the end of the day, ensuring accurate record-keeping.

  • Warehouse Duties:
    • Assist in clearing damaged product areas in warehouse, including repairing, returning, or disposing of cases.
    • Return or dispose of returned products as needed. Report all returned cases to customer service team and remove disposed products from inventory systems.
    • Ensure cleanliness of the dry dock and Door 124 area through regular sweeping as needed, and complete daily loading of spare pallet trailers as needed throughout the day.

  • Loading and Transfer Duties:
    • Reload FA outbound trucks and trailers, load re-ship and daytime routes, and unload and reload transfer trailers as required by operations management.

  • Audits:
    • Perform audits of selector-picked outbound pallets as directed by management.

  • Customer Service:
    • Assist in completing customer pickups, also known as "Cash and Carry."
    • Submit paperwork from all daily Cash and Carry to Customer Service team.
