Description: The objective of this position is to exceed the customer’s expectation of service by assuring the safe transportation and delivery of food to customer locations, following company policies and procedures. Assuring shipment of temperature controlled and undamaged product, proper count of goods at customer locations, assuring inventory levels are FIFO in the customer locations.

Required skills and abilities:

  • 1-3 years in related position, experience in distribution and warehousing food manufacturing environment preferred.
  • The ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • The ability to work flexible hours.
  • The ability to lift heavy objects.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Strong work ethic.
  • Work independently.
  • Computer Skills, ideally WMS
  • Ability to follow safety protocols

Physical requirements:

  • The ability to lift 50/80 pounds regularly
  • The ability to respond quickly to sounds
  • The ability to move safely over uneven terrain or in confined spaces
  • The ability to see and respond to dangerous situations
  • The ability to work for short period of time in cooler and freezer

Minimum Selector Requirements

  • 18 years of age or older
  • 1 year in related position, experience in distribution and warehousing food manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to operate Warehouse Equipment; pallet jack; forklift; RF Scanner
  • Proper stacking and wrapping of pallets
  • Able to work in a cold environment for long periods
  • Able to read in English purchase orders and understand directions

Accountabilities:

  • Accurately count and assemble parcels according to purchase orders
  • Maintains product integrity, and temperature controls,
  • Works with all departments to assure safe quality food
  • Works efficiently in a timely manner
  • Works with safety in mind at all times
  • Follows FIFO system
  • Assists with various reports: inventory counts, adjustments, damaged products, location Prepare and complete orders for delivery or pick up
  • Maintain safe trucks through proper stacking and wrapping of pallets for safe weight distribution in trucks
  • Replenish stock as needed
  • Stacks pallets according to specifications for food safety
  • Stage items correctly for loading
  • Keep a clean and safe working environment and optimize space utilization, removal of packaging and pallets after picking
  • Proper use and application of license plate
  • Assist in other departments as needed
