Position Summary
The Shipping Clerk is responsible for coordinating and executing daily shipping operations to ensure accurate and timely order processing. This role requires strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with warehouse staff, selectors, and inventory control. The Shipping Clerk will play a key role in supporting order flow, inventory accuracy, and compliance with SQF (Safe Quality Food) standards.
Shift / 6am-2:30pm
Work week is Sunday-Saturday / Tuesdays and Saturdays scheduled off
Hourly Rate: $20.00-$23.00 per hour DOE
Key Responsibilities
Order Processing & ERP / BusyDo Systems
Process, release, and manage orders through the ERP system.
Run and track orders to ensure timely fulfillment.
Use BusyDo to generate shipping labels and process orders accurately.
Team Coordination
Distribute and assign work to warehouse selectors.
Assist selectors with short chasing products to complete orders.
Support selectors with add-ons and additional orders as needed.
Inventory & Order Accuracy
Assist with inventory checks, reconciliations, and adjustments.
Verify order accuracy prior to shipment.
Communicate shortages, substitutions, and add-ons with warehouse and operations teams.
Compliance & Documentation
Scan, file, and maintain SQF documents for compliance.
Review and correct SQF documents to ensure accuracy and adherence to standards.
Qualifications & Skills
Previous experience in shipping, logistics, or warehouse operations preferred.
Familiarity with ERP systems and/or BusyDo strongly preferred.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel, Outlook, and Word required.
Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
Ability to communicate effectively with warehouse staff and management.
Attention to detail and commitment to compliance with food safety standards.
Basic computer literacy (data entry, reporting, document management).
Filing, copying, and updating both paper and electronic documents.
Preparing and processing office documents, invoices, and bills.
